Pepsi, a strong sponsor and
supporter of the Pepsi Wyoming BBQ Competition and Bluegrass festival
provides a booth filled with Pepsi products. People are needed to sign
up to man the booth, help set it up, and generally assist with this
service. This is a coveted booth to work in, get your name in the
hat early! |
|
|
BBQ Registration
There are tables at the event that
must be manned, to gather names of vendors, competitors or any other
official or semi-official participant. You will be having folks
fill out documentation, providing name tags, maps and instructions.
You will also be checking people off the list as they arrive at the
festival. This is a critical need, let us know if you are willing
to serve. |
|
Camping
Registration
Camping is available on a limited basis. If you volunteer for this
effort, you will be giving folks their location to camp, gathering fees,
and answering questions. People will be vying for the best
locations, so you will have to follow the guidelines closely to provide
the best service. Help is needed - are you interested? |
|
|
Information Booth
As the event has grown, so has the urgent need to provide timely
information to all who attend. You will be center stage, answering
questions, handing out maps and information and guiding people to
various locations. You will find out where the hospitality room
is, where the facilities are located as well as have a general layout of
each vendor and competitor locations. Maybe this is the area that
most calls for you to help out with. |
|
|
Hospitality Room
All volunteers, competitors, judges, and helpers have access to the
hospitality room. There are ample snacks, a nurses station (just
in case), places to rest, a message board - and many other items in the
hospitality room. Your mission will be to keep everything stocked
up, limit admission to the hospitality room just to those authorized to
enter, answer questions, and welcome all guests. This may be just
the thing for you to volunteer for! |
|
| Set up
There are many things to do, both
small and large to set up for an event of this size. You will be
part of a team and receive assignments as appropriate. There are
chairs to arrange, boundaries to establish, lines to set up, general
assistance with vendor booths and BBQ area setups, items to move from
one location to another, etc etc. You can be of real service here! |
|
| Clean Up
Do you have a talent for setting
things to rights? Cleaning up? Making the area pristine and
beautiful once again, after everyone has left? Then maybe this is
your calling. There are things to put away, clean up, move back
into storage, and generally get everything back into the shape it was
before the event started. You will help with a group of people who
are choose among the various needed tasks. Helpers are urgently
needed for this service. Please let us know how you would like to
help. |

Ah the picture snappers - so
urgently needed. Note that all pictures taken by official
photographers become the property of the Pepsi Wyoming BBQ Competition
and Festival. These pictures are required to be on digital format.
You may use your own equipment, or in some instances we may have
equipment to loan. This is the way it will work - you will have a
badge and are free to roam the event, including the hospitality room.
You are urged to take pictures from far away, medium range and close-ups
- whatever moves your creative spirit - people, activities, BBQ, and
Vendor items. Does this make your photographer's juices flow?
Your finger itchy to press the shutter release? Either way, spaces
are limited. If there are questions, let us know. |
